As a voiceover performer, Mahan has been heard on hundreds of radio and television commercials and has narrated numerous television shows, industrials, and documentaries. He has voiced dozens of promos and trailers and had a lucrative career in ADR, looping over a thousand TV shows and movies. He’s the mafioso on the phone, the voice replacement for the hardened cop, the menacing heavy breather, and the nut case in the asylum. He’s been strangled, chased, trampled, slugged, stabbed, shot, and set on fire...and that’s all before lunch.

In live action, his most famous and sustaining role to date was the ever popular and fearsome, original evil space alien GOLDAR of the hugely successful Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie. He also voiced the dark and tortured Magnadefender in Power Rangers, Lost Galaxy. He was the voice of JEB, the talking dog on the series, VR Troopers.

He was the gremlin in the TV series Seven Days, the main park security guard in the movie Bebe’s Kids, the desperate and dying Troy Larson in Supernova, and the gay penguin in Dr.Doolittle. He was the gruff, no nonsense voice of the black Ford 150 pick-up truck Attack Beast on the television series Team Knight Rider, and the out-spoken political radio shock jock P.J. Hawks in The District.

In the animation world, Mahan recurred as the calculating, evil power house Edwin Alva on the series Static Shock, played multiple characters on the home video release Ultimate Avengers, has guest starred on Family Guy, Scooby Doo, Batman Beyond, Fantastic 4, Alvin and the Chipmunks, As Told By Ginger, I Am Weasel, The Angry Beavers, Dilbert, and God,the Devil and Bob.

Mahan was one of the pioneers with the resurgence of anime in the mid-80s,voicing the incorrigible flirt Private Sean Phillips in the series Robotech, the ever-intimidating Reiganse in Vampire Hunter D, the scrubbed and wholesome do-gooder Kimball Kinnison in The Lensman, the relaxed and self-assured Ringo in Technoman, the frightfully menacing Pablo in The Professional, and the coolest of cool, Bunta, in the series, Initial D, in stores on DVD.

Mahan currently lives in Morro Bay, California with his wife, Melanie, their big fat tuxedo cat, Presley, their wild, zany-smart blond wolf dog, Keogh, and that crazier than crazy character of a merle Great Dane, Mia. When not walking these wilde beests, he can be found spending most of his time these days, writing, directing and doing voice over jobs out of his home studio.
