Everybody’s favorite Doctor knows how to have a good "time", but there’s a lot more to talk about in regards to time travel in our favorite fandoms, like books, shows, and movies. An interactive exploration of all things time travel.

Topics include Back to the Future, The Terminator, HG Wells's The Time Machine, Michael Criton’s Timeline, Mr Peabody and Sherman, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and of course the myriad of episodes and movies of Star Trek and Twilight Zone. Also discussed are the concepts of the butterfly effect, paradoxes, and scientific research into time travel in real life.

Questions posed to the audience:

  • First exposure to Time Travel?
  • What are the ramifications of time travel?
  • Do you like stories where the future is set (choices don’t matter/predestination)?
  • Do we have free will or are we victims to the butterfly effect? Is it shown to be possible to change something and not start the butterfly effect?
  • Would paradoxes exist if time travel were real? Would they not really exist?
  • Would you want to time travel? Would you want to go back or forward and why?
  • As kids, did stories of time travel make history more interesting? Do they make science fiction more or less believable?
  • What time period or event would you want to be there for? What historical figure would you want to speak to?
